Tiny Grove
Privacy policy
Last updated October 7, 2026
Tiny Grove is made by Balsamroot Digital. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it. In short: no account, no server, no ads, no tracking. Your records stay on your phone; the only thing that can ever leave is a crash report, and only if you turn that on.
What stays on your phone
Everything you enter lives only on your phone: your medications, doses, notes, supply counts, reminder times, and settings. Balsamroot Digital never receives any of it. Tiny Grove has no account to sign in to and no server to send anything to.
Crash reports, only if you turn them on
Crash reports are off unless you turn them on in Settings. When they’re on and the app crashes, a report is sent to Sentry, the service we use to receive them, so we can fix the problem. A report holds the kind of error, where in the app’s code it happened, the app version, and your phone’s model and system version. It never holds your medications, notes, records, your name, your phone’s name, or anything else that identifies you. You can turn crash reports off again at any time, and nothing more is sent.
Reminders
Reminders are scheduled by your phone, on your phone. They don’t pass through any server, and turning notifications off in your phone’s settings stops them. On a locked phone, a reminder says only “A gentle reminder” wherever your phone hides what notifications say. To keep medication and profile names out of reminders entirely, turn on Hide names in reminders in Settings.
Files you choose to share
When you create a doctor summary or a backup file, Tiny Grove makes it on your phone and hands it to your phone’s share sheet. Where it goes from there is up to you, and whoever receives it handles it under their own terms. Restoring a backup reads the file you pick, on your phone, and sends nothing anywhere.
Your phone’s own backup
If your phone’s backup is turned on, your phone may include Tiny Grove’s data in it, as it does for other apps. That backup is between you and Apple or Google, under their privacy policies, and Balsamroot Digital can’t see it.
Purchases
Tiny Grove is free for up to six medications, and one purchase unlocks the rest. Purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, under Apple’s or Google’s privacy policy. Balsamroot Digital doesn’t receive your name or payment details, and the app keeps only whether the unlock was bought, on your phone.
No ads, analytics, or tracking
Tiny Grove shows no ads, has no analytics, and doesn’t track you across apps or websites. It doesn’t use your location, your contacts, or health data from other apps, and nothing about you is sold or shared.
Deleting your information
Everything is on your phone, so it’s in your hands. Deleting a medication in Tiny Grove removes it and its history. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your phone. Files you exported and your phone’s own backups are yours to delete. Because a crash report holds nothing that identifies you, there’s no way to find the reports that came from a particular phone.
If you’re in the EU or the UK
If you live in the European Union, the European Economic Area, or the United Kingdom, data protection law gives you rights over personal information about you: to see it, correct it, have it deleted, limit or object to how it’s used, take a copy with you, and withdraw any consent you gave. There’s very little for Balsamroot Digital to apply them to. Your records are on your phone, where you can already see, correct, back up, and delete all of them yourself. A crash report is sent only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by turning crash reports off in Settings, and it holds nothing that identifies you, so it can’t be found and traced back to you. If you email us, your message is used only to answer you. To use any of these rights, email the address at the end of this policy. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
Children
Tiny Grove isn’t directed at children under 13, and it doesn’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
Changes to this policy
If Tiny Grove ever changes how it handles information, this policy will be updated, with a new date, in the same version of the app that makes the change.
